12th Annual Dentistry from the Heart Event
Shamblott Family Dentistry is offering free dentistry on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2018, to those in need. This year’s 12th Annual Dentistry from the Heart event will take place at Shamblott Family Dentistry in Hopkins. Starting at 7:00am, Dr. Shamblott and his team will treat as many patients as possible by 4:00pm. The event is first-come, first-served, so patients should arrive early. In hosting its Annual Dentistry from the Heart (DFTH) event Dr. Scott Shamblott and his staff change dozens of lives each year; offering free smiles to anyone who needs dental care. Dr. Shamblott and his team of dental professionals, sponsors and volunteers look forward to this event each year.
“I’m proud to have been the first dentist in Minnesota to participate in DFTH, in 2007,” says Dr. Shamblott. “It’s one of our favorite days of the year. We love bringing smiles to people who need help. Some people have been in pain for a long time so this is our opportunity to provide care which can help get rid of their pain and make them comfortable.”
Hundreds of Thousands of Patients and Millions in Free Dental Care
DFTH is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission – making people smile. It was created to help those in need, especially the growing population of uninsured and under-insured Americans. Over 100 million Americans lack dental insurance and more than 20 percent of adults know they have cavities but haven’t had them treated. To date, DFTH has provided over $7 million in dental care to over 300,000 patients across the country. Shamblott Family Dentistry has given away more than $280,000 in dental services during DFTH events in Hopkins. Without events like DFTH, along with providers like Dr. Scott Shamblott and his entire team, dental care may not be a viable option for many.
